Audit Overview

Audit Overview summarizes a completed Custom Fields audit run. If no run is currently loaded, Audit 360 automatically displays the latest completed, non-deleted run when one is available.

What You See​

Audit Overview presents decision-support summary cards and charts based on the loaded run:

  • Fields scanned — custom fields included in this audit.
  • Fields with detected usage — fields found in at least one configuration or usage source.
  • Fields with no detected usage — fields with no detected signals across all sources.
  • Cleanup candidates — advisory fields recommended for review.
  • High-risk fields — fields with higher change-risk scores.
  • Duplicate field names — fields sharing a normalized display name.
  • Population coverage — count of fields with at least one work item containing data.
  • Governance and recommendation status — visual distribution of field health status.

Charts and KPI cards show cumulative findings from the selected audit run. The overview is based on stored audit results and does not perform a separate live scan.

Starting a New Audit​

Select Run New Audit from Audit Overview to start scanning custom fields. This is the only place where a Custom Fields audit can be started — the Audit Details and Cleanup Recommendation tabs do not have their own start controls.

The audit runs as a background job, so you can leave the screen while it completes. If you return before completion, Audit 360 shows the audit's current progress. Once the audit finishes, Audit Overview automatically loads the new results.

Auto-Load Behavior​

When you navigate back to Custom Fields after an audit completes (or on first load), Audit 360 checks for an already-loaded run. If no run is loaded and no audit is currently running:

  • It automatically loads the latest completed, non-deleted audit run if one exists.
  • If no completed run exists, it shows an empty state with options to run a new audit or open Audit Library.

When to Use It​

Use Audit Overview when you need a quick decision-support summary before exploring detailed evidence or recording cleanup decisions.
